New Honda City 2026 Facelift


The new Honda City facelift is set to go on sale in India on May 22, 2026. Ahead of its official price announcement, the model has started arriving at the dealerships. The latest pictures are clear and reveal all the key design changes. Let’s take a closer look.

1. The 2026 Honda City facelift features blacked-out chrome on the grille, door sills and window line. The modern connected LED DRLs add more to its refreshing looks. At the front end, a camera is visible, hinting at the presence of a 360-degree camera or an ADAS suite. Both front and rear bumpers have a contrasting black trim.

2. The side profile remains largely unchanged, except for the newly-designed blacked-out alloy wheels. At the rear, the new Honda City sport a slightly revised taillamp design. Dimensionally, the sedan is expected to remain unchanged. The current model measures 4,583mm in length, 1,748mm in width and 1,489mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,600mm. It offers a ground clearance of 165mm and a boot space of 506-litres.

3. Interior details are scanty at the moment. However, the new Honda City 2026 facelift is likely to offer a new, larger touchscreen infotainment system with an improved UI (user interface). It might also get new cabin theme, trims, upholstery and additional features.

4. Mechanically, the 2026 Honda City facelift is likely to remain unchanged. The existing 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine with 6-speed manual and CVT gearbox options will continue to be on offer. This engine produces a maximum power of 121bhp and 145Nm of torque.

The new Honda City hybrid will continue with the 1.5L petrol strong hybrid powertrain, paired to an eCVT gearbox. This setup delivers output of 98bhp and 127Nm of torque.

5. The updated sedan lineup is expected to command a slight premium over the current model, which is priced between Rs 11.99 lakh – Rs 16.07 lakh (ex-showroom). The City hybrid is currently available at Rs 19.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
