Honor just unveiled three mid-range tablets – the Pad 10 Pro, which offers a more premium alternative to last year’s Pad 10, as well as the Pad X10 and Pad X10 Pro.
Honor Pad 10 Pro
The Honor Pad 10 Pro brings more compute power in a slimmer package. The metal unibody design measures 6.1mm thick and weighs 475g. For comparison, the Pad 10 is 6.3mm and 525g, while the Pad 9 Pro from 2024 is 6.6mm and 589g.
Don’t worry, though, this doesn’t come at the cost of battery capacity – the Pad 10 Pro has a 10,100mAh battery, which is the same as the Pad 10, while the Pad 9 Pro had a 10,050mAh battery. All three tablets support 35W wired charging.
We should note that the new slate is smaller in the other way that counts too – it has an 11.5” LCD, down from 12.1” on the Pad 10 and Pad 9 Pro. The display has 2,800 x 1,840px resolution, 500 nits of brightness and 144Hz refresh rate.
The Honor Pad 10 Pro is powered by the Dimensity 8350 Ultimate, which promises 20% higher CPU and 60% higher GPU performance. This is compared against the “previous generation Dimensity”, which presumably refers to the Dimensity 8100 inside the Pad 9 Pro.
Anyway, the tablet is built for entertainment – the display has 10-bit colors with support for DCI-P3. It also has IMAX Enhanced, HDR Vivid and Zreal badges. A paid extra adds an anti-glare coating that cuts out 98% of ambient light reflections.
On the audio front, it has four speakers with DTS:X and IMAX Enhanced support, plus a HiRes Audio certification.
The Pad 10 Pro also supports a stylus, the Honor Magic-Pencil 4s. It can detect 4,096 levels of pressure. You can swap between a soft and a hard nib to adjust the writing experience.
There are a ton of AI features too, like the AI Magic Lasso – you can circle handwritten text to neaten up your handwriting or to convert to digital text. There is math formula recognition too. The list of AI-powered features also includes audio recording and transcription (with recognition for multiple speakers) and note summarization.
The tablet launches with MagicOS 10 (Android 16) out of the box and supports PC-like multitasking with multiple windows. WPS Office comes pre-installed and there is an optional keyboard cover with a trackpad. This makes the tablet suitable for office work as well as schoolwork with features like Honor AI Notes and Classroom Notes.
Honor Pad 10 Pro color options
The Honor Pad 10 Pro is available in China now at CNY 2,700. There is only one configuration with 12GB of RAM and 256GB storage. The anti-glare coating is CNY 200 more. Check the table below for a price conversion, plus a look at the prices for the other two tablets. There is no official word on global availability, but the vanilla Honor Pad 10 has been available in Europe for a while now.
Honor Pad X10 and Pad X10 Pro
These two are a bit of an odd combo. The Honor Pad X10 Pro has an 11.5” LCD (2,508 x 1,508px, 255ppi) with 120Hz refresh rate and 400 nits of brightness. It measures 6.77mm thick and weighs 475g, making it slimmer and lighter than the non-Pro X10. However, it has a relatively small 8,300mAh battery.
The Honor Pad X10 has a different screen – its LCD is 11” (1,920 x 1,200px, 207ppi) with 90Hz refresh rate and 500 nits of brightness. It is thicker and heavier at 7.25mm and 499g, but at least it offers a bigger 10,100mAh battery. Note that the screens are not directly comparable – the X10 Pro has a 15:9 aspect ratio, while the X10 is 16:10.
The X10 is powered by the Snapdragon 680 – we meet again, old friend. Jokes aside, the X10 Pro upgrades to (drum roll, please) the Snapdragon 685. The vanilla X10 comes with newer software out of the box, MagicOS 10 (Android 16), than the X10 Pro, which runs MagicOS 9 (Android 15) instead.
Both tablets have quad speakers and durable designs. However, the Pro stands out with 100% sRGB coverage on its LCD and an option for the same anti-glare coating as the Pad 10 Pro above (though note that it is only available on the 8/256GB variant).
