Tata Motors will soon expand its EV (electric vehicle) portfolio with two new products – the Punch EV facelift and Sierra EV. The updated Punch EV is slated to go on sale on 20th February, while the electric iteration of the Sierra is expected to arrive by mid-2026. Positioned in different price brackets, both EVs will cater to distinct sets of customers. Here’re all key details we know about these upcoming Tata EV SUVs.
Tata Punch EV Facelift

The 2026 Tata Punch EV facelift will receive minimal design changes and feature upgrades along with new colour options. The official teaser shows a black trim connecting the headlamps and LED DRLs, revised closed-off grille, an updated bumper and scuff plate and new alloy wheels.
Inside, the updated Punch EV is expected to get new upholstery and trims along with a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Rumour suggest that the compact crossover might be offered with Level 2 ADAS suite. Most of the existing features will be carried over from the current model.
The powertrain setup is likely to remain unchanged. The 2026 Punch EV will continue to use the 25kWh and 35kWh battery packs, delivering claimed ARAI range of 265km and 365km, respectively.
Tata Sierra EV
The detailed specifications and features of the Tata Sierra EV are still under the wraps. However, the model is expected to witness a few EV-specific updates inside and out including a closed-off grille, redesigned bumpers, updated software and more.
The Sierra EV is likely to share its powertrain with the Harrier EV, which is currently available with 65kWh and 75kWh battery options. The 65kWh variant offers a claimed range of 538km per charge on the Harrier EV. Its power and torque outputs stand at 235bhp and 315Nm, respectively. The 75kWh battery version is good enough for 390bhp and 504Nm. This Tata EV could also get an optional dual motor setup or an AWD drivetrain system.
