New Renault Duster & Tata Sierra Launching Soon in India

The coming months are going to be super exciting for auto enthusiasts as several big product launches planned across segments. The midsize SUV space will set on fire with the revival of two iconic nameplates – the Tata Sierra and the Renault Duster. Both SUVs will arrive in an all-new avatar with multiple powertrain options.

The Sierra will debut with an electric powertrain in October or November 2025, while its ICE version is slated to launch in early 2026. The third-generation Renault Duster will also make its way to India in early 2026, followed by a hybrid model within the next 12 months. These upcoming Tata and Renault SUVs will take directly on the segment leader – the Hyundai Creta and other midsize SUVs. Here’s a quick look at what to expect from the new Tata Sierra and the new Renault Duster.

New Tata Sierra – What to Expect?

The Sierra EV is likely to share the 65kWh and 75kWh battery packs with the Harrier EV, while its ICE version is expected to be offered with a 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol and a 2.0L diesel engine options. In terms of design and styling, the production-ready Tata Sierra stays true to its concept. It’s expected to offer a premium cabin, packed with features such as a triple screen setup, a panoramic sunroof, built-in dashcam, HUD (Head-Up Display), ventilated and powered front seats, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Level-2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera and more.

New Renault Duster – What to Expect?

Powertrain details of the 2026 Renault Duster are still under the wraps. However, the SUV is likely to be offered with the 1.0L turbo or 1.3L turbo petrol engine options. The hybrid powertrain will be reserved for the higher trims. The company is also considering a Duster CNG variant. If launched, it could be offered as a retrofit solutions as we have seen in the Kiger and Triber. The cabin of the new Renault Duster will surely be more upmarket than its predecessor. Its design will be heavily inspired by the Dacia Bigster, which is on sale in select global markets.
