New Skoda Kushaq Enters Production With New 8AT & Premium Features


The new Skoda Kushaq 2026 facelift has entered production at the brand’s Chakan based manufacturing facility in Pune. The carmaker states that the SUV’s new model embodies Skoda’s “DNA with its robust design, advanced features and uncompromising safety.” Prices of the updated lineup will be announced in the coming weeks. The new Kushaq comes with improved styling and a more feature-packed and premium interior along with a new powertrain option.

New AT Gearbox & Specs

Skoda has introduced a new 8-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox, which will be exclusively available with a 115bhp, 1.0 turbocharged petrol engine. It comes as a replacement of the old 6-speed unit. The same engine will also be offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The 150bhp, 1.5L turbo petrol engine with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox is also on offer. Interestingly, the 1.5L turbo petrol variants are now available with rear disc brakes.

Premium Interior & Features

Significant changes have been made inside the cabin. The new Skoda Kushaq 2026 facelift offers a Black & Beige and Crimson interior themes in Prestige and Monte Carlo trims, respectively. It gets an all-new 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, an updated 10.1-inch infotainment system with the Google Gemini AI assistant, a panoramic sunroof and the segment-first massage function for the rear seats.

Other key highlights include dual-colour ambient lighting, 6-way powered front seats with ventilation, leatherette seats, front parking sensors, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, a wireless charging pad, a 6-speaker sound system, 6 airbags (standard), hill hold assist, ANS with EBD, electronic stability control and more.

Boot Space, Colours & Design

The new Skoda Kushaq offers a boot space of 491-litres, which is 106-litres more than the pre-facelift version. The SUV lineup will be available in three new colours, namely, Steel Grey, Shimla Green and Cherry Red. Its design highlights include newly-designed grille, sleek LED headlamps with new DRLs, revised bumpers, new alloy wheels, and an LED light bar with illuminated ‘SKODA’ lettering at the back.
