The 2026 new Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition is now on sale in India. The 4X2 manual variant is priced at Rs 36.51 lakh, while the 4X2 automatic variant costs at Rs 38.72 lakh (all, ex-showroom). Bookings for the SUV will commence from October 12, 2026.
Buyers can choose from three colour options – Attitude Black, Super White and Platinum White Pearl. The Silver Metallic paint scheme has been discontinued with the 2026 update.

The special edition receives several cosmetic enhancements inside and out over the regular model, while retaining the existing 2.8-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine. The diesel engine is available with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed automatic transmission. It produces a maximum power of 204bhp and a peak torque of 420Nm (MT)/500Nm (AT). The new Fortuner Leader Edition is offered exclusively with a 4X2 drivetrain system.
On the exterior, the new Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition features a sporty black grille, a bold ‘TOYOTA’ badge on the bonnet, a black bumper with silver trim, a dual-tone black roof, black 18-inch alloy wheel and a tailgate with black trim.
Inside the cabin, the 2026 Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition offers dual-tone Black & Maroon upholstery with matching door trims. The SUV also features illuminated door sills and ambient lighting.
Next-Gen Toyota Fortuner Coming Soon
The new-generation Toyota Fortuner is expected to debut by the end of this year, followed by its market launch early next year. The SUV will derive its design inspiration from the new-gen Hilux pickup truck, featuring a newly-designed trapezoidal grille, tweaked bumpers, swept-black headlamps, a more upright bonnet, slimmer wraparound taillamps and a redesigned tailgate.
Inside, the all-new Fortuner will get a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital instrument cluster. One of the major upgrades is likely to be the addition of an ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) suite – Toyota Safety Sense.
