New XUV 7XO Rival SUV Patented In India: Launch Timeline & Details

Earlier this year, JSW MG Motor India has announced its plan to enter the plug-in hybrid segment this year. While the exact product details are still under the wraps, the upcoming model is likely to be based on the Wuling Starlight 560 SUV, which is already on sale in Chinese market.

Recently, the carmaker filed a design patent for the Starlight 560 SUV in India, hinting at its arrival plan. The model is expected to hit roads by October 2026, around Diwali season. It’s likely to challenge Mahindra XUV 7XO. However, considering its powertrain, it may be a direct rival. The electric iteration of the SUV could also make its way to India, where it would compete with the Mahindra XEV 9S.
