Nissan India is all set to unveil its all-new Gravite sub-4 metre MPV on 21st January, followed by its market launch in March 2026. It’s essentially a re-badged Renault Triber, featuring Nissan’s familiar design language while sharing its platform, features and powertrain with the Triber. The Nissan Gravite will be positioned as an affordable alternative for customers looking for a three-row family car. Once launched, the Nissan Gravite will compete against its sibling, the Renault Triber, as well as the Maruti Ertiga.
Design Highlights
Based on the CMF-A platform, the Nissan Gravite will feature a newly-designed grille with inverted L-shaped DRLs, a sporty bumper with silver inserts, new alloy wheels and redesigned taillamps with pronounced ‘Gravite’ badging. However, elements such as the headlamps, roof rails, ORVMs and other design elements will be shared with the Triber.

Expected Features
Official interior details are yet to be revealed. However, the MPV is expected to offer a flexible seating configuration similar to the Triber. On the feature front, the new Nissan MPV might offer an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a cooled lower glove box, driver’s seat height adjust and driver’s seat armrest, cruise control, rear seat lighting, auto-fold ORVMs and more.
Triber Borrowed Engine
Under the hood, the upcoming Nissan Gravite MPV is expected to feature the same 1.0L, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that powers the Renault Triber. The motor pushes out a maximum power of 72bhp and a peak torque of 96N. However, the engine could be retuned for offering better performance. Transmission choices might include a 5-speed manual and an AMT gearbox.
Nissan Tekton Arriving Soon
Following the launch the Gravite MPV, the Japanese automaker will introduce the all-new Nissan Tekton SUV, which will be based on the third-generation Renault Duster. The SUV will be offered with petrol engine only. Official teasers reveal that the Tekton will derive its design inspiration from the Nissan Patrol SUV.
