Oppo Find X10 series said to use new Tianma OLED panel

Oppo is expected to unveil its Find X10 series in September. While the company has yet to reveal a launch timeline, it has reportedly confirmed that the upcoming phones will feature Tianma OLED displays.

According to a report, Oppo and Tianma unveiled the new Tianma Tiangong Screen 2.0 at an event in China, with the technology reportedly set to debut on the upcoming Find X10 series.

The report notes that Tianma has used a new N1 primary-colour spectrum material in the panel, reducing harmful blue light by 3.7% while increasing deep-red light output to 5.5%. The display is also said to offer 16% improved power efficiency and nearly 33% longer lifespan.

While the panel reportedly offers no improvements in resolution or refresh rate, it features Tianma’s self-developed AI De-Mura intelligent control algorithm, which can lower the display’s brightness to as little as 0.01 nits.

Separately, Oppo has officially detailed the new OLED screen technology on Weibo.

However, the company did not confirm that it was co-developed with Tianma or that it will be used in the Find X10 series.

Oppo’s post also reveals that the new fourth-generation OLED light-emitting material supports 95% of the BT.2020 colour gamut. The display is said to deliver softer, more natural colours, making it more comfortable to use for extended periods and reducing eye fatigue.
