Oppo Find X9 Ultra debuts with dual 200MP cameras and 10x optical zoom

After weeks of teasers, the Oppo Find X9 Ultra is now official. Oppo unveiled its latest cameraphone flagship in China, and promised to roll it to select global markets.

The star of the show is obviously the Hasselblad quad-rear camera setup, so let’s start with that. The Find X9 Ultra comes with a 200MP Sony LYT-901 main rear camera with a 1/1.12-inch sensor size, f/1.5 aperture, and OIS.

It gets a 200MP OmniVision OV52A periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and another 50MP Samsung JNL periscope telephoto camera with 10x optical zoom and sensor shift optical stabilization.

There’s also a 50MP Sony LYT-600 ultrawide camera with autofocus and a 3.2MP true color camera. The 10x optical zoom camera features an industry-first Quintuple prism reflection periscope that is said to help achieve 20x optical-quality zoom.

At the front, the Find X9 Ultra has a 50MP Samsung JN5 selfie camera with autofocus. The phone also comes with a new-generation Hasselblad Master Mode that features an updated imaging pipeline that doesn’t use generative AI.

You also get 50MP JPEG MAX and 50MP RAW MAX support and up to 16-bit color depth. There’s also the Hasselblad XPAN mode and improved video recording capabilities. The Find X9 Ultra can shoot 4K 60fps, 4K 120fps, and 8K 30fps video. It also brings O-Log2 Log solution, real-time LUT preview and LUT Burn-in, improved stabilization, autofocus, and audio recording.

Moving away from the camera, the Oppo Find X9 Ultra sports a 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED display with up to 144Hz refresh rate, 3168 x 1440 pixels resolution, and 3,600 nits peak brightness. It supports Dolby Vision, HDR Vivid, and is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

The phone features an under-display 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and IP66, IP68, and IP69 dust and water resistance ratings.

It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. The phone runs Android 16-based ColorOS 16.

Inside, the Find X9 Ultra houses a 7,050mAh Si/C battery with support for 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.

Connectivity options include dual SIM support, NFC, Bluetooth 6.0, Wi-Fi 7, and GPS.

The Oppo Find X9 Ultra is available in Tundra Umber and Canyon Orange color options in the EU. The phone weighs up to 236 grams and is up to 9.10mm thick (Tundra Umber shade).

In the EU, the phone starts at €1,699 ($1,999) for the 12GB/512GB option. There are various early-bird promotions, depending on the market – in Germany you get a free Aramid Fiber Magnetic case and an Oppo Pad 5 tablet (you get to pick between 5G and Wi-Fi-only versions). Dutch customers get a 100W SuperVOOC charger and an Oppo Pad SE
