vivo is launching the X300 Ultra on Monday, and Oppo is working on its very own competitor to that device, the Find X9 Ultra. We already know that it’s coming in April, and that, like the X300 Ultra, it will be available globally.
Whereas vivo’s Ultra has optional teleconverters taking it to high zoom levels, the Oppo Find X9 Ultra will have a built-in 10x telephoto camera. Oppo released a new teaser today calling it a built-in ‘teleconverter’ of sorts, clearly throwing some shade vivo’s way.
Oppo Find X9 Ultra 50MP 10x periscope telephoto camera details
The Find X9 Ultra has the world’s first 50MP periscope telephoto with 10x optical zoom, with a 230mm equivalent focal length. The camera will be able to shoot 460mm 20x pictures at “optical quality zoom”. The camera will use a customized Samsung Isocell JNL sensor with f/3.5 “DSLR-grade” aperture. With Oppo’s sensor shift OIS and triple ultra-precision active optical alignment, this camera will be “ultra steady”.
The camera also has the first quintuple prism reflection periscope structure with pristine optical path architecture, and the result of all the tech packed inside can be seen in the image below, showing the same scene from the human eye’s perspective, and what you’ll get with this 10x camera on the Find X9 Ultra.
According to rumors, the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, and it has a 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate, a 200MP main camera, this 10x 50MP periscope telephoto camera, another 200MP periscope telephoto camera, a 50MP ultrawide, and a 7,050 mAh battery with support for 100W fast wired charging.
