Over 73,800 Maruti SUVs Sold in Dec 2025; Victoris Tops Charts


Maruti Suzuki ended 2025 on a positive note, recording its all-time highest sales of 182,165 units in domestic market. The carmaker exported a total of 25,739 units, while sales to other OEM stood at 9,950 units. The combined sales figure reached 2,27,854 units. Additionally, the company closed CY 2025 with highest-ever sales of 2,351,139 units and record-high exports of 395,648 units.

Top-Selling Maruti Cars

The Maruti Baleno emerged as India’s top-selling car with sales of 22,108 units, followed by the Fronx that registered total sales of 20,700 units in December, 2025. In the entry-level segment, the Alto K10 and S-Presso witnessed a substantial 92 percent YoY sales growth. Both models together contributed 6.2 percent to the brand’s total month sales.

Interestingly, Maruti Suzuki managed to sell a total of 73,818 units of SUVs (Sport utility vehicles) in December 2025, recording a 33 percent YoY growth. Currently, the carmaker has five SUVs in its portfolio including the Fronx, Jimny, Brezza, Grand Vitara and Victoris.

Launched in the second last week of September 2025, the Maruti Victoris has been generating volumes for the company, with 13,496 units sold in November and over 14,000 units in December.

Deliveries & Pending Orders

The Indo-Japanese automaker has delivered over 35,000 Victoris by the end of the year, and currently has nearly 70,000 pending orders. These figures show the SUV’s strong customer acceptance. Sold exclusively via Arena dealership, the SUV lineup comes in six trims, priced between Rs 10.5 lakh – Rs 19.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

Top Safety

After the Dzire, the Maruti Victoris is the brand’s second model to achieve 5-star safety rating in both Bharat and Global NCAP. Its standard safety kit includes six airbags, a 360-degree camera, ABS with EBD, Isofix child seat mounts and tyre pressure monitoring system. The Victoris is the first Maruti Suzuki to offer a Level-2 ADAS suite.
