Poco has finally unveiled the new M8 5G series, which includes the Poco M8 and the Poco M8 Pro. The latest M series phones come equipped with Snapdragon chipsets.
Poco M8 5G

The Poco M8 is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC, paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. It runs Android 15-based HyperOS 2 and offers a bunch of AI features such as Google Gemini, Circle to Search, and others.
It sports a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, up to 3,200 nits peak brightness, 3,840Hz PWM dimming, 12-bit color depth, and Full-HD+ resolution.

For cameras, the Poco M8 gets a 50MP Light Fusion 400 primary sensor at the back along with a 2MP depth unit. At the front, the phone comes with a 20MP selfie camera. The Poco M8 appears to be identical to Redmi Note 15 5G, however, the latter gets a 108MP main rear sensor plus an ultrawide.
It packs a 5,520mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging. Other specs include an in-display fingerprint scanner, an IP66 rating, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, an infrared sensor, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and expandable storage.
Poco M8 Pro 5G

The Pro variant is equipped with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset and features the Poco IceLoop cooling system for improved heat dissipation. It also runs Android 15-based HyperOS 2.
It comes with a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1.5K, a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 3,200 nits peak brightness, Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support, and 3,840Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. The display is protected with a layer of Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

The Poco M8 Pro 5G features a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP Light Fusion 800 primary sensor with OIS and an 8MP ultrawide unit. For selfies and video calling, the phone offers a 32MP front camera. Once again, the M8 Pro is essentially the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ without the 200MP main rear camera.
Poco has included a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery in the M8 Pro. It supports 100W wired charging and up to 22.5W reverse wired charging. The phone also gets an in-display fingerprint scanner, an IP68 rating, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, 5G, GPS, and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.
