Poco today unveiled the Poco M8x as the newest member of its M8 series.

The Poco M8x is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 SoC, making it India’s first smartphone to have that chip at the helm. It has up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage, expandable via a microSD card.

On the software side, the M8x runs Android 16-based HyperOS 3, with Poco promising four generations of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates.

The Poco M8x is built around a 6.9″ HD+ 120Hz LCD, protected by Gorilla Glass 7i. It also has a centered punch-hole for the 8MP selfie camera. On the back, the M8x sports a 50MP primary camera, an auxiliary unit, and an LED flash.

Keeping the Poco M8x up and running is a 7,900 mAh battery with 45W wired charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging.

Other features of the Poco M8x include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, an IP64 rating, dual stereo speakers with Hi-Res Audio, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Poco M8x comes in Leather Green, Black, and Blue colors, with the green model’s back cover having a vegan leather finish. All three color models have two memory options – 4GB/128GB and 6GB/128GB, priced at INR20,999 and INR22,999, respectively.
