Earlier this month, Xiaomi unveiled its Redmi 17 series and the 5G model is now confirmed to make its way to India on September 3.
Redmi India posted a batch of teasers for the device, and the posts confirm it will feature at least one upgrade in the form of a larger battery. The Indian Redmi 17 5G is getting a 7,900 mAh battery, which is a 400mAh boost compared to the global version. Outside of the battery, the India variant will still support 45W wired and 22.5W reverse wired charging.
The teasers also confirmed the device is getting the same Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset, 50MP main camera and 120Hz display. It will be available in black, blue, and orange colors.
