Renault Bridger Concept Debut on March 10; Previews Sub-4m SUV For India

The Renault Bridger Concept, which previews the brand’s upcoming sub-4 metre SUV, is set to make global debut on 10th March, 2026. The good news is that its production version will also make its way to India. While its launch timeline is yet to be revealed, the new Renault compact SUV is expected to arrive sometime in 2027.

The Bridger is likely to be positioned against the Maruti Suzuki Jimnny and 3-door Mahindra Thar RWD. Prices are expected to start around Rs 10 lakh for the base variant.

The teaser shows the rear profile of the SUV, featuring ‘BRIDGER’ lettering along with partial glimpses of the taillamp and tailgate mounted spare tyre. The carmaker has also confirmed that the SUV will not “compromise on space”.

It is still too early to comment on its powertrain. However, the Renault Bridger is expected to borrow the 100bhp, 1.0L turbo petrol engine from the Renault Kiger. Transmission choices will include both manual and automatic gearbox.

Renault’s Future Plan

New Renault Duster

Meanwhile, the French automaker is gearing up to launch the new Renault Duster on 17th March, 2026. The SUV lineup will initially be offered with a 100bhp, 1.0L petrol and 163bhp, 1.3L turbo petrol engine options. A 6-speed manual gearbox will come as standard, while the larger capacity engine will also be available with a 6-speed DCT automatic transmission.

Renault Duster Hybrid

The Renault Duster hybrid is slated to arrive in the second half of 2026, possibly around Diwali season. It will feature the segment’s most powerful hybrid powertrain, comprising a 109bhp, 1.8L petrol engine, a 1.4kWh battery and a 20bhp hybrid starter generator. The setup delivers a combined power output of 160bhp.

Renault Duster 7-Seater

Renault will also introduce the 7-seater version of the Duster, which has already debuted as Renault Boreal in 2025. This premium three-row SUV will share its platform, powertrain, features and design elements with its 5-seater sibling. When launched, it will compete against the Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV 7XO and MG Hector Plus.
