Renault India is betting big on the all-new Duster, which is set to compete against the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara and other models in the midsize SUV segment. The SUV will go on sale in March, while deliveries are slated to begin in April. The new Renault Duster SUV lineup will be further expanded with a hybrid variant before Diwali 2026 and a 7-seater version by the end of this year.
7-Seater Renault Duster – What to Expect?
Talking about the Renault Duster 7-seater, the SUV made its global debut as the Renault Boreal in July 2025. Globally, the three-row SUV will be offered in three trims – Evolution, Techno and Iconic. In India, the model might carry a new nameplate and follow the Duster’s variant nomenclature.
When launched, the 7-seater Duster will go head-to-head against the Mahindra XUV 7XO, Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus. The upcoming Maruti Suzuki and Toyota’s three-row premium SUVs will count among its arch rivals.

Share Engines With 5-Seater Duster
The Renault Duster 7-seater is expected to share its powertrains with its 5-seater sibling. This means, the SUV lineup could be offered with the 1.3L turbo petrol, 1.0L turbo petrol and 1.8L petrol hybrid options. The 100bhp, 1.0L turbo petrol might be available only in lower variants, while the higher trims will get 1.3L turbo and strong hybrid powertrain options.
Hybrid Powertrain
The hybrid setup will consist of a 1.8L, four-cylinder petrol engine, a 20bhp hybrid starter generator, a 49bhp electric motor and a 1.4kWh battery pack. It produces a combined power of 160bhp and 172Nm of torque, making it the most powerful hybrid system in its segment.
Longer, Spacious & Premium
The 7-seater Renault Duster will be longer and more spacious than its 5-seater sibling, accommodating an additional row of seats. Most of its features will be carried forward from the Duster including a dual screen setup, a panoramic sunroof, 6-way powered and ventilated front seats, wireless phone charger, a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, ADAS and more.
