Maruti Suzuki has introduced the new Baleno facelift at a special festive price of Rs 6.10 lakh (ex-showroom) for the entry-level variant. Prices of the remaining variants are yet to be announced. The biggest highlight of the new 2026 Maruti Baleno is the new Z12E 1.2-litre, three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, which also powers the Swift hatchback and Dzire compact sedan. However, in the new Baleno, the engine has been tuned to deliver better low-end torque.
The new 3-cylinder engine pushes out a maximum power of 83bhp and 112Nm of torque. The same petrol engine, paired with a factory-fitted CNG kit, produces power worth 70bhp and 102Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT. Maruti Suzuki claimed that the new Baleno offers a claimed mileage of 23.08kmpl with manual gearbox, 24.77kmpl with an AMT, and 33.61m/kg for the CNG version.
