Samsung expands One UI 9 beta program for the Galaxy S26 series to India as second beta update rolls out in other countries


Samsung announced the Android 17-based One UI 9 beta program for the Galaxy S26 series about a couple of weeks ago, with South Korea being the first country to receive the One UI 9 beta update, followed by the UK, Germany, and some other European countries. Now, Samsung has expanded the One UI 9 beta program for the Galaxy S26 lineup to India.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra 5G

The One UI 9 beta update for the Samsung Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra released in India has firmware version S94xBXXU2ZZEQ and comes with the June 5, 2026, Android security patch. The update requires a download of over 3.7GB.

In addition to expanding the One UI 9 beta program to India, Samsung has released the One UI 9 Beta 2 update for the Galaxy S26 series in the UK and South Korea, with other regions expected to receive it in the coming days.

The second One UI 9 beta rolling out in the UK for the Galaxy S26 Ultra also comes with the June 5, 2026, Android security patch and weighs about 1.6GB.

The update’s changelog mentions six bugs that have been fixed. They are:

  • GPUWatch interruption popup issue fixed
  • Improved the non-functioning issue in the routine app
  • Improved status bar display error
  • Fixed an error where the lock screen clock font does not change with LockStar installed
  • Improved delay issue when deleting messages in bulk
  • Improved issue where the lock screen clock gradually moves down
  • Improved Game Booster entry point setting error

If you are enrolled in the One UI 9 beta program and haven’t received the first or second One UI 9 beta update on your Galaxy S26 series smartphone yet, you can check for it manually by heading to your phone’s Settings > Software update menu.
