Samsung Galaxy Fold8 series and Z Flip8 coverage wrap-up

Yesterday, Samsung introduced the third new model of the Galaxy foldable line-up – confusingly, it’s called the Galaxy Z Fold8, but it is not a Z Fold7 successor. Instead, it is a new (for Samsung) form factor that combines a 16:10 cover display with a 4:3 inner display.

The Z Fold7 successor is called the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra now. With the magic of Silicon-Carbon, it has a 5,000mAh battery – 600mAh more than its predecessor. There’s also the Galaxy Z Flip8, which is slimmer and lighter, but there is no Flip FE this time around. And both the Flip and the Fold got more expensive.

You can check out our hands-on review with the new foldables. We also have a post that zooms in on the differences between the Z Fold8 and Z Fold8 Ultra. There is a hands-on review for the new watches as well, those would be the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and the Watch9. We even looked at Samsung’s AI glasses, though those won’t be coming to market any time soon. Speaking of, the Z Foldables are on pre-order until August 7.

If you’re just starting to read up on what happened at the Galaxy Unpacked event yesterday, you can use this post as a jumping off point – below you will find links to specs, comparisons, pricing details, hands-on reviews and whatever other information we have gathered so far.
