Samsung Galaxy S26 gets disassembled on video

Samsung launched the Galaxy S26 alongside the Galaxy S26+ and S26 Ultra a few weeks ago, and today we have our first look at the vanilla device’s innards, courtesy of a disassembly video by the YouTube channel PBKreviews.

The device’s teardown starts, as it does a lot of times, with removing the SIM tray, then the back comes off after applying some heat to make the adhesive come off easily. Take a look at the entire process below.

In the end, the Galaxy S26 gets a very good repairability score of 9 out of 10, where 10 would equal outstanding repairability and 0 would be abysmal.

The S26 shines in parts availability, ease of battery replacement, and ease of miscellaneous parts replacement, getting maximum scores in all three of these categories. Where it fares a little less good is in the design category, since that impacts the length of time repairs take, and the screen replacement, which is easy, but not very easy.
