Samsung Galaxy S26 in for review

Samsung’s smallest premium phone is back at it for another year, and we’ve got it in the house and in for review. The Galaxy S26 ships with a USB cable and a SIM eject tool.

This year, there’s no 128GB base model; the range starts with 256GB, but the starting price has moved up by around $100/€100, so there’s no real difference. The RAM is the same 12GB as every year.

So what is new? For starters, the Galaxy S26 ships with Samsung’s own 2nm Exynos 2600. We’reeager to test and see what the new SoC brings to the table.

Another change is the screen diagonal, which now stretches to 6.3 inches – up from 6.2 inches. Otherwise, the panel is the same 1080p 120Hz unit.

Another improvement is the battery, which is now at 4,300mAh – up from 4,000mAh. Charging is, sadly, the same at 25W wired and 15W wireless.

The excellent in-hand feel hasn’t changed. The Galaxy S26 has retained the refreshing premium compactness its predecessor had. We do love smaller phones as they get closer and closer to extinction.
