Samsung partners up with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, here’s what that means

Today, Samsung has announced that it is the official partner of the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. The game is due to be released on October 23.

Samsung is “the official TV, monitor, soundbar, and Wi-Fi speaker partner” of the game. In practice, this means that the game will support Samsung’s HDR10+ Gaming format, which “helps deliver more accurate color and contrast, supporting the immersive visual experience that reflects the creative intent of the developers”, according to the company.

Additionally, the game will support the 32:9 aspect ratio of Samsung’s Odyssey G9 monitors, allowing their owners to “experience a wider format” with “a broader sense of space in-game”. Samsung is also going to distribute early access codes for the game through the Samsung Promotion app. These will give selected players the opportunity to be part of the early access beta from August 21-25, before the open beta begins from August 28 to September 1.

There will even be an early hands-on Modern Warfare 4 experience at Samsung’s booth during Gamescom 2026, which is taking place between August 26 and 30 in Cologne, Germany. At that event, Samsung will provide Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Vault Edition Battle.net game codes to select players.
