Samsung to step up its game after the iPhone Duo, Galaxy Z TriFold2 to arrive early

According to online reports citing unnamed inside sources, Samsung is planning to hit the gas when it comes to foldables, following the recent announcement of the iPhone Duo. Market analysts across the globe all agree that Apple will become Samsung’s biggest competitor in the foldable segment and maybe even capture a bigger portion of the market very soon. Apple’s entrance in the segment will inevitably create a lot of buzz as well, expanding the market in general.

The latest report claims that Samsung is going to release the Galaxy Z TriFold successor earlier than planned. The Z TriFold2 is supposed to be lighter, thinner and more durable while retaining the same price tag, which was $2,899 upon launch.

Still, the release is expected no earlier than 2027, and Samsung’s first slideable smartphone will likely join the TriFold2.

Apple’s entry into the foldable market gave foldables additional exposure, so other manufacturers, including Samsung, will feel more comfortable exploring and innovating in the field.
