Samsung is adding a new member to the Galaxy Book6 family of laptops today – a new 14” Galaxy Book6. It is a Windows 11 machine (also available with Linux) that starts at $800 / £800 / €850.
The laptop has a 14” 16:10 LCD with an anti-glare coating (1,920 x 1,200px resolution, 350 nits brightness). This model measures 15.7mm thick and weighs 1.35kg (2.98lbs).

The laptop has a 61.2Wh battery and promises to last up to 25 hours on a single charge. Charging is done through either of the two USB-C ports at up to 45W. The other wired ports are one USB-A, one HDMI 1.4 and one 3.5mm headphone/mic combo jack. Wireless connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6E (2×2) and Bluetooth 5.4.

Samsung offers a choice between an Intel Core 3 or Core 5 315 processor. The base model has 8GB of RAM (LPDDR5X) and a 256GB SSD (PCIe). You can also configure the laptop with 16GB of RAM and 512GB or 1TB of storage.
There are stereo speakers on board (2x 2W) with Dolby Atmos. Additionally, there are dual mics for voice and video calls – along with a 2MP camera. Note that the keyboard is not backlit.
Samsung has a number of Galaxy features available – for example, Quick Share streamlines sending files between compatible Galaxy devices, be they laptops, tablets or phones. In the same vein, Storage Share allows you to access files from your other Galaxy devices without transferring them first.
Second Screen can turn your Galaxy Tab into an extra display for your Galaxy laptop. And with Multi Control, you can use the laptop’s keyboard and mouse to control other Galaxy devices. There are a few others that you should be familiar with from One UI – Note Assist (summarizes notes and surfaces key info), AI Cut Out (cut objects out of photos and remove the background) and AI Select (select things on screen and get relevant info while browsing, shopping or viewing online content).

Samsung introduced a new color for this Galaxy Book6 – Violet Silver. The classic Gray option is also available. You can already find the Book6 on Samsung UK with limited configuration options: Intel Core 5 (no Core 3 option) with 8/256GB or 8/512GB memory. It’s available in Spain. Samsung Spain at least offers the 16GB of RAM option (but it’s tied to getting 512GB storage).

Other mainland Europe locations have the laptop too, so check your local Samsung.com. The Belgian press release lists the following prices: 8/256GB for €850, 8/512GB for €1,000 and 16/512GB for €1,200. This is with a Core 5 processor, the Core 3 option isn’t available.

In the US, the new model will be available through Samsung.com and Amazon starting on October 5. In Canada, the price will be $1,200, but there is no availability date yet.
Note: there is another 14” Galaxy Book6 – that one is pricier since it uses Intel Core Ultra processors. Make sure you are looking at the right model!
