According to a new report by Counterpoint Research, Samsung’s Galaxy S25 family outsold the Galaxy S24 series. The research house compared the sales from February to December of their release year for both.
The Galaxy S25 devices sold 5% more in that period than the Galaxy S24 phones. At the same time, the Galaxy S25 Ultra sold 7% more than the S24 Ultra.
Interestingly, the Galaxy S25 family’s sales started off below those of the Galaxy S24 devices in February, matched them in March, and then were above until December.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra even saw some mid-cycle month-over-month sales increases in July and October, and ended the year in the Top 10 best selling smartphones of 2025.
The Ultra is by far the best selling device of Samsung’s flagship family, with the S24 Ultra sales representing 45% of the family’s total, and the S25 Ultra sales being 46% of the pie. The base S25 had 35% compared to the S24‘s 36%, and interestingly both the Galaxy S24+ and the Galaxy S25+ sales represented 19% of the total for their respective families.
