Shubham secures 100 percentile again in JEE Main Session-2

Patna: Shubham Kumar from Gaya district has once again achieved a rare feat by securing a perfect 100 percentile in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main Session-2. The results were announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Monday.He was one of only 26 students across the country to achieve this perfect score. In JEE Main Session-1, he secured 100 percentile with 11 other students across the country.Coming from a humble background in Nadarganj Brahmani Ghat, Gaya city, his success has brought immense pride and honour to the entire district. Shubham completed his early education at Nazareth Academy School in Gaya, where he passed Class X. He then finished his Class XII from British English School.After his matriculation, he took a step towards his dream of becoming an engineer. He moved to Kota, Rajasthan, last year to prepare for the competitive engineering entrance exams in a focused environment.Known for his discipline and consistency, Shubham followed a strict study routine of 10 to 12 hours daily. He paid special attention to difficult subjects and believed strongly in the power of self-study. “Coaching provides direction and clears doubts, but the real hard work lies in self-study. That is what takes you to the destination,” he said, adding that his entire focus is on JEE Advanced, the scoring of which will help to get admission in a prestigious engineering institute.Hailing from a middle-class family, Shubham never let limited resources come in the way of his goals. His father, Shivkumar, runs a hardware store on Ramna Road in Gaya, while his mother, Kanchan Devi, is a homemaker.He credits his parents’ sacrifices, the guidance of his teachers, and his dedication for this achievement. He took inspiration from his elder sister, who is currently a first-year engineering student at IIT-Patna.
