Sierra EV, Tiago EV Facelift & Avinya

Tata Motors has confirmed the introduction of seven new nameplates in India by FY2030, starting with the Sierra. The roadmap includes three ICE (internal combustion engine) and four EVs (electric vehicles). The home-grown automaker will also upgrade its existing product lineup with multiple facelifts and new-generation models.

In 2026, the company is set to introduce three EV including the Tata Sierra EV, Tatai Tiago EV facelift and Tata Avinya EV. While the electric Sierra and updated Tiago EV will hit showrooms in the coming months, the Avinya will debut by the end of 2026. The Tata Avinya will be the premium EV sub-brand with a strong focus on design, technology and premium ownership experience. Here’s a brief lookat these upcoming Tata EVs.

Tata Sierra EV

Tata Sierra EV Launch Date

Unlike its ICE counterpart, the Tata Sierra EV will feature a closed-off front with a LED light bar, smoother bumper and differently designed alloy wheels. However, the upright stance, high bonnet and short overhangs remain intact. The powertrain specifications are still under the wraps, but the SUV is expected to source the 55kWh battery from the Curvv EV and 65kWh battery from the Harrier EV.

Tata Tiago EV Facelift

Subtle cosmetic changes and feature upgrades are expected for the new Tata Tiago EV facelift. The EV might feature redesigned front and rear bumpers, new headlamps, new alloy wheels and revised connected taillamps. Reports suggest that the updated Tiago EV might borrow larger battery packs from the Punch EV. Currently, it comes with the 19.2kWh and 24kWh battery pack options.

Tata Avinya

Avinya’s official debut is expected in late 2026, while its market launch is likely in 2027. The EV will be based on Tata’s Gen-3 born electric architecture, and will feature a futuristic design language. The production-ready model is expected to stay true to the concept. The Tata Avinya is likely to be packed with advanced technologies such as the new-gen ADAS, a battery management system, ultrafast charging capabilities, OTA updates and more.
