Skoda Kodiaq RS Bookings Open On June 22 – Only 50 Units, 265bhp AWD SUV

Bookings for the Skoda Kodiaq RS will officially commence on June 22, 2026. While the exact launch date is yet to be announced, the performance SUV is expected to hit showrooms in July. The model will be imported to India via the CBU (completely built unit) route in limited numbers. The first batch will include only 50 units of the SUV.

As a CBU performance unit, the Kodiaq RS is expected to be priced around Rs 55 lakh – Rs 60 lakh (ex-showroom). In terms of pricing, it will go head-to-head against the MG Majestor and Volkswagen Tayron R-Line.

Power & Performance

Under the hood, the Skoda Kodiaq RS features a 2.0L TSO petrol engine, which produces a maximum power of 265bhp and 400Nm of torque. This makes it 60bhp more powerful than the standard Kodiaq. Transmission duties are taken care of by a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox. The SUV comes equipped with an AWD (all-wheel drive) system.

Skoda claims that the Kodiaq RS can sprint from 0 to 100kmph in just 6.3 seconds and achieve a top speed of 231bhp. Compared to the standard Kodiaq, the performance-oriented model features an updated braking system, which includes slotted brake discs and front-axle mounted two-pot callipers. Globally, the Kodiaq RS features adaptive dampers as standard. However, it’s remains unclear whether the India-spec version will offer this feature or not.

Design & Interior Highlights

Visually, the Skoda Kodiaq RS appears sportier than the standard version. It features a blacked-out grille, a tweaked bumper, newly-designed 20-inch alloy wheels with red brake callipers and a blacked-out C-pillar. The blacked-out ORVMs, window frames and roof rails add more to its sporty appearance.

The sporty black theme continues inside the cabin. The Kodiaq RS features an all-black them with contrasting red stitching and accents. It also gets bolstered seats with RS branding on the headrests.
