Interior & Features

Similar to the concept, the production-ready Avinya X is likely to feature a dashboard integrated screen positioned above the soundbar. It will come with a 5-seats configuration, offering generous legroom for both the rear bench style seats and the front bucket seats. The concept featured swivelling front seats, however, it will remain to see whether this feature will make it to the production version. Tata Motors is expected to use sustainable materials throughout the interior.

Based on Tata’s Gen 3 architecture, the Tata Avinya X is likely to support the next-generation ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems). Other key highlights might include a large floating central infotainment system, a 360-degree camera, wireless phone charger, a panoramic sunroof, a lounge-like 4-seater layout, vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) charging capability and more.

Design Highlights

The production-ready Avinya EV is expected to retain most of design elements from the concept. Showcased in 2022, the SUV concept features a full width LED light bar at the front, a uniquely designed grille, slim headlamps, bold shoulder creases, blacked-out A pillars, a glass roof and LED taillamps at the floating rear section.

Battery & Ultrafast Charging

Tata Motors is expected to use locally manufactured battery packs for the premium Avinya range. These batteries will support ultra-fast charging technology, enabling the vehicle gain a minimum range of 500km in under 30 minutes.

Production Plans

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles and Jaguar Land Rover (TMPV-JLR)’s new production facility in Panpakkam, Tamil Nadu will serve as the manufacturing hub for the first Tata Avinya electric SUV. The company aims to ramp up annual production capacity to 250,000 units.
