The highly-anticipated Tata Sierra EV is finally here. The electric SUV lineup has been offered in variants, priced between Rs lakh – Rs lakh (ex-showroom). At this price point, it directly takes on the Mahindra BE 6, Hyundai Creta Electric, Maruti Suzuki eVitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella and MG ZS EV. In the company’s EV portfolio, the Sierra EV sits between the Curvv EV and Harrier EV. Bookings have been commenced nationwide, while deliveries will begin on July 15, 2026.
Built on Tata’s activ.ev+ architecture, the Tata Sierra EV comes with two battery pack options, 63kWh and 75kWh, delivering a claimed MIDC range of 565km and 665km, respectively. Both batteries can get 238km and 263km range top up in 15 minutes, respectively. The EV comes with three charging options – 120kW DC fast charging, 7.2kW home charger and 3.3kW anywhere.
On the exterior, the new Tata Sierra EV features a body-coloured closed-off grille, redesigned bumpers and ‘Sierra’ lettering placed below the front LED light bar. It retains the original upright stance, 19-inch alloy wheel design, blacked-out glass element and connected LED lighting.
The EV lineup is available in seven colour options – Rishikesh Rapids (new), Nainital Nocturne (new), Pristine White, Andaman Adventure, Coorg Cloud, Bengal Rouge and Pure Grey.
Save for a few EV-specific changes, the interior of the Tata Sierra EV looks identical to its ICE counterpart. Higher trims are exclusively offered with a triple screen setup comprising a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch passenger display. The lower variants are available with a dual screen setup.
Other key features include ventilated front seats, HUD (head-up display), a panoramic sunroof, rear AC vents, iRA.ev connected car suite, rear camera with park assist, fully automatic temperature control, a premium audio system, a 360 degree camera, 6 airbags, Level 2 ADAS and more.
