Tata Motors has planned something big for this Diwali season. The homegrown automaker is gearing up to launch the updated Punch compact SUV and the all-new Sierra EV in October or November, 2025. However, the official launch dates of both SUVs are yet to be announced. Several spy images and videos have already revealed a handful of details about the upcoming products. Let’s take a look at what we know so far.

Tata Sierra EV

The Tata Sierra nameplate will be reintroduced with an all-new design language, modern interior, advanced features and multiple powertrains. Initially, it will be made available as a pure electric SUV, followed by its ICE-powered version in January, 2026. The Sierra EV could be offered with two battery pack options – 65kWh and 75kWh, borrowed from the Harrier EV. The electric iteration might also come with a QWD/AWD drivetrain system.

The overall design and interior of the Tata Sierra will stay close to its concept version. Spy images reveal that the SUV will feature a floating triple screen setup along with a panoramic sunroof and Level-2 ADAS. However, these features could be reserved for the higher trims. Similar to the showcased concept, the production-ready model might be offered with 5-seater and 4-seater lounge-like layout options.

Tata Punch Facelift

The 2025 Tata Punch facelift is likely to come with subtle design changes and feature upgrades, while retaining the existing engine setup. The compact SUV will receive newly-designed alloy wheels along with slightly updated bumpers and front grille. Inside, there will be a new two-spoke steering wheel similar to the one seen in the new Altroz hatchback. The steering mounted switches will also be updated. Tata could equip the new Punch with a 10.2-inch instrument cluster and a redesigned climate control panel.

Under the hood, the 2025 Tata Punch will continue to house the 1.2L petrol engine, which dishes out a maximum power of 87.8PS and 115Nm of torque. Both manual and AMT gearboxes will also be carried over to the facelift. A CNG version will continue to be on offer.
