Tata’s Next 4 EV Launches Revealed – Sierra EV First, Safari EV, Avinya & More

Amid increasing competition, Tata Motors aims to strengthen its market presence with a range of new ICE and EV models over the next five years. At its 2026 Investor Day presentation, the carmaker confirmed its plans for 6 new ICE-powered models and more than 20 refreshed or updated versions of the existing models. The plan also outlines four new EVs (electric vehicles) including the Tata Sierra EV, which is set to hit showrooms on June 30, 2026.

Following the launch of the Sierra EV, Tata Motors will introduce the Tigor EV facelift and Tata Safari EV in the second half of this year. Tata’s dedicated premium EV brand, Avinya, is scheduled to debut in 2027.

New Electric MPV?

The carmaker also revealed it will have a strong focus on entering new segments; however, further details remain under wraps. According to reports, Tata Motors could foray into the MPV segment to rival Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Kia Carens Clavis. Since the presentation slide shows four new EV nameplates, rumours suggest that Tata might also consider an electric three-row family car.

In the electric MPV segment, the Kia Carens Clavis EV and BYD eMax currently cater to mass-market and premium buyers, respectively. Maruti Suzuki is also working on an all-new electric MPV, which is undergoing extensive testing and is expected to arrive by the end of this year.

Tata Sierra EV & Safari EV – Key Details

The upcoming Tata Sierra EV and Tata Safari EV are expected to share their powertrain with the Harrier EV, which is currently available in three configurations – 65kWh single motor RWD, 75kWh single motor RWD and 75kWh dual motor QWD. Both electric SUVs are likely to offer a driving range of over 500km on a full charge.

The overall design and styling of the Sierra EV and Safari EV are expected to remain largely similar to their ICE counterparts. However, a closed-off grille, redesigned bumpers, aero-optimized alloy wheels and ‘EV’ badging will set them apart from their ICE-powered versions.
