The Tecno Pova Curve 2 has been launched in India. It comes with a curved display and is claimed to be the slimmest phone with an 8,000mAh battery. It also gets a refreshed design over the original Pova Curve.
At the front, the Pova Curve 2 gets a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display that offers a 1.5K resolution and a refresh rate of 144Hz. The panel offers up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness as well.
The display is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 7i, whereas the phone offers an IP64 rating as well as SGS certified drop protection.
You’ll find a dual camera setup at the back that includes a 50MP main sensor paired with a 2MP depth unit. For selfies, there’s a 13MP front facing camera housed inside a hole-punch cutout.
The Pova Curve 2 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 SoC, which is coupled with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Notably, the Pova Curve was equipped with a Dimensity 7300 Ultimate chipset.
One of the highlights of the phone is the large 8,000mAh battery, which supports 45W fast charging.
It also gets an in-display fingerprint scanner, an IR sensor, a single speaker with Dolby Atmos, USB Type-C, dual SIM, Bluetooth 5.4, and dual-band Wi-Fi. The Pova Curve 2 runs Android 16-based HiOS 16 and is slated to receive two Android OS upgrades.
The phone also gets the G1 signal enhancement and SE1 Wi-Fi enhancement chipsets for improved connectivity. It measures 7.42mm thick and weighs 195g. The Pova Curve 2 will go on sale in India starting February 20.
The Tecno Pova Curve 2 will be sold in Mystic Purple, Melting Silver, and Storm Titanium color options. It is priced at INR 27,999 ($310) for the 8GB/128GB model and INR 29,999 ($330) for the 8GB/256GB option.
