The Fairphone 6+ will have an upgraded chipset for slightly higher performance too, leak shows

So, there is more to it than more RAM and a new color – the Fairphone 6+ will feature a new chipset too. EvLeaks has posted the complete specs sheet for the upcoming phone, an “exploded view” image of the phone’s internals and even a promo video.

Leaked: Fairphone 6+ complete specs sheet

The specs sheet helpfully marks the changes from the original Fairphone 6 in bold. As previously reported, the RAM capacity on the Plus model will increase to 12GB, up from 8GB (LPDDR5 in both cases). Storage remains the same, 256GB of UFS 3.1, plus the microSD card slot.

The other major change is switching to the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, which offers minor performance gains over the 7s Gen 3 that was used in the original model – Qualcomm claims a 7% increase in CPU and a 7% increase in GPU speed. Also, the revamped NPU offers higher AI performance.

That’s it, though. Well, this and the new Cobalt Blue color option, which will be available alongside Horizon Black and Forest Green (it seems like Cloud White will not be an option for the 6+).

There is one more important detail that we don’t know – the price. The Fairphone 6 currently costs €550 on the company’s official site. With RAM being as expensive as it is right now, we think that the Fairphone 6+ will cost more – how much more is unclear.
