Since the S24 Ultra, Samsung has been using special glass for the display that cuts down on reflections. However, typical screen protectors negate this advantage of the flagship display.
The OrigArmor Screen Protector has a 7-layer anti-reflective coating that keeps reflectivity under 0.8%. This is five times better than a regular screen protector, which has a reflectivity of over 4.5%.
Additionally, the glass has a light transmittance of over 95% (compared to 91% for regular protectors). The low reflectivity and high transmittance make it feel like the phone has no screen protector at all.
The anti-reflective coating and light transmittance have been certified by TÜV Rheinland. These qualities are not just about making the protector feel invisible – they have practical benefits too. For one, reflections force you to boost the screen brightness to see better, but that burns through battery. With the OrigArmor, your phone will last longer on a single charge.
Then, the >95% light transmittance helps keep selfie image quality on the same level as without a screen protector. Typical protectors can make selfies appear blurry or washed out. The OrigArmor protector minimizes light scattering and dimming.
TORRAS uses a Magnetron Sputtering technology to create the 7-layer anti-reflective coating through a dual ion-exchange process. Additionally, Shin-Etsu oil is applied as an oleophobic coating to protect against fingerprints.
The OrigArmor glass has a 9H+ hardness rating, as tested by the TORRAS Lab. Testing also included over 8,000 drop tests (from 3.5m/12ft height!) with zero cracks, 25,000 scratch tests with no marks and a 150kg/325lbs stress test without breaking.
This toughness is built into the OrigArmor glass in the form of shock-absorbing layers and reinforced scratch resistance. This is what allowed it to survive all those tests without suffering any shattered edges.
TORRAS has created an advanced roller tray system to make the OrigArmor easy to install at home. It injects molecular adhesive into the tempered glass surface to ensure a bubble-free, seamless installation while preserving the original screen clarity and touch sensitivity.
