The vivo V70 FE is launching in India next week

The vivo V70 FE is launching in India a week from now – the exact time and date is noon on April 2 (Thursday). The phone will be available through vivo itself, as well as retailers like Amazon. The phone originally launched in Indonesia earlier this month.

We have a review unit at the office. The retail box came with a 90W charger, a USB cable and a transparent case (those are the contents for Indonesia, anyway). The phone will be offered in Monsoon Blue and Northern Lights Purple, which are not the same colors that are available in Indonesia (though the Ocean Blue looks similar enough).

Anyway, you’ll need that 90W charger to fill the large 7,000mAh battery – a full charge should take 60 minutes, according to the official specs. We will be conducting our own battery tests, of course.

The camera is another thing we’re eager to try out – the vivo V70 FE is equipped with a 200MP main camera (1/1.56” sensor, f/1.88 OIS lens). There’s also a 32MP selfie camera with 4K video recording and a less exciting 8MP ultra-wide.

The phone is powered by the Dimensity 7360 Turbo. Three models are available in Indonesia: 8/256GB, 12/256GB and 8/512GB (strangely, there was no 12/512GB variant). We’re not sure whether vivo is bringing the same memory configurations to India or how much they will cost – we’ll find that out next week.

By the way, the vivo V60e launched in India late last year with a price of ₹30,000 for an 8/128GB model and ₹32,000 for an 8/256GB model. It’s similar to the V70 FE with the same Dimensity 7360 Turbo chipset and a 200MP main camera (+50MP selfie). However, it has slower storage (UFS 2.2 vs. 3.1), smaller battery (6,500mAh) and the screen isn’t as nice (6.77” 1080p+ for the V60e and 6.83” 1260p+ for the V70 FE).
