Ranchi: Entry of large goods vehicles would be prohibited in Ranchi from 6 am to 10 pm on Friday in view of the official function for distribution of appointment letters at Morabadi ground, the traffic wing stated.It added that the goods vehicles would move towards their destination using the ring road and the movement of common vehicles would be barred on the road from SSP residence to Red cross via late Shibu Soren’s residence, state guest house and Morabadi town outpost.The traffic wing stated that the administration has identified four parking places namely Football ground (Ranchi College), Army ground Morabadi, Tribal Research Institute (TRI) ground and the DIG ground for people coming from various parts of the state for the programme.It stated that vehicles coming with participants from Kanke ring road would be parked at Ranchi college ground, from Booty more at the Army ground and via Bodeya road at the TRI ground.The department stated that vehicular movement could be diverted or stopped for a brief period on other roads according to requirements.Traffic SP Rakesh Singh stated, “Barricades would be put around Morabadi ground to prevent the entry of general vehicles, auto-rickshaws and totos. Around 200 traffic personnel would be deployed in the area.”The wing has appealed that people should avoid moving with their four wheelers on the routes marked for the programme.
