Turbo Engine, 6-Speed MT & Bigger Screen

Amid increasing competition in the sub-4 metre SUV segment, Maruti Suzuki has decided to give a significant midlife update to the popular Brezza lineup. The updated model is expected to launch in the next couple of months. The new 2026 Maruti Brezza will receive noticeable design changes, and interior upgrades inspired by the Victoris along with a new transmission.

New Turbo-Petrol Engine & Gearbox

Starting with the mechanical update, the Brezza facelift will feature a new 6-speed manual gear knob as suggest by spy images. This new transmission is likely to be offered with a 1.0L turbocharged petrol engine, borrowed from the Fronx. This 3-cylinder engine delivers a maximum power of 100PS and 147.6Nm of torque on the compact crossover.

The Fronx’s turbo engine is benefited from mild hybrid technology that includes idle start-stop, integrated starter generator (ISG) and torque assist, ensuring better fuel efficiency and performance. It delivers a claimed mileage of 21.5kmpl with manual and 20kmpl with automatic gearbox. The performance figures for the Brezza turbo-petrol are expected to be more or less similar to those of the Fronx.

Underbody CNG Tank

Furthermore, the new Maruti Brezza 2026 facelift will feature an underbody CNG tank instead of occupying boot space. The CNG kit will continue to be available with the naturally aspirated petrol engine.

New Features & Trims

Spy pictures suggest the presence of a larger touchscreen infotainment system. The existing version comes with a 10.1-inch unit as seen in the Victoris. The updated Brezza is expected to receive new upholstery and trims along with new exterior colour options.

Mild Design Changes

The 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift will retain the original silhouette and design language. However, minimal changes are expected to give it a refreshing look. The subcompact SUV might feature redesigned and slightly repositioned fog lamp assembly, newly-designed alloy wheels, tweaked rear bumper and connected LED taillamps.

Slightly Premium Pricing

The Brezza lineup is currently available within the price range of Rs 8.25 lakh – Rs 13.01 lakh (ex-showroom). The facelifted version is expected to be priced slightly premium over the outgoing model.
