Turbo Petrol, Bigger Screen & More Boot Space

The new 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift is currently undergoing extensive testing and frequent sightings of its test mules continue to reveal new details. One of the latest prototypes spotted with an emission testing kit suggesting the introduction of a new powertrain option. While official details are yet to be announced, the new Brezza is likely to come with the brand’s proven 1.0L Boosterjet turbocharged petrol engine.

This 3-cylinder engine already powers the Maruti Fronx and is known for delivering strong low-end performance. It pushes out a maximum power of 100PS and 148Nm of torque. Previous spy images reveal that the updated Brezza lineup might also be offered with a new 6-speed manual gearbox.

GST Benefit With Turbo-Petrol Engine

Unlike the existing 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine, which attracts a 40 percent GST slab, the new Maruti Brezza 1.0L turbo petrol version will fall under the 18 percent GST bracket.  This could allow Maruti Suzuki to price the turbo-petrol variant more competitively.

Underbody CNG & NA Petrol

Additionally, the new 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift CNG might feature an underbody tank as we have seen in the Victoris. This CNG layout will free-up boot space that’s usually eaten up by a conventional CNG cylinder. The existing 1.5L naturally aspirated engine is also expected to continue in the lineup.

New Features

Inside, the new Maruti Brezza 2026 facelift is likely to receive a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment, supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The subcompact SUV might also get new trims and upholstery along with a new cabin theme.

Minor Design Changes

Subtle cosmetic changes are expected. The facelifted Brezza is likely to feature a redesigned grille, a slightly tweaked front bumper, thicker silver faux skid plate, revised fog lamp assembly, newly-designed alloy wheels and a rear bumper with new details.

Expected Launch & Prices

The new Maruti Brezza facelift is likely to hit showrooms during the 2026 festive season. Given the minor design changes, feature enhancements and the possible introduction of a new powertrain, the subcompact SUV is likely to witness a minimal price hike. The current Brezza lineup is available in the price range of Rs 8.26 lakh – Rs 12.86 lakh (ex-showroom).
