Samsung introduced the Privacy Display feature with the Galaxy S26 Ultra earlier this year. In June, we heard that next year’s Galaxy S27 Pro would also feature Privacy Display. But in July, a report claimed that all smartphones in the Galaxy S27 series except the S27 FE would have Privacy Display. Now, a new report by South Korean publication ETNews states that only two smartphones in the Galaxy S27 series would come with Privacy Display.
Those two smartphones are the Galaxy S27 Pro and the Galaxy S27 Ultra. The publication claims that with this move, Samsung aims to differentiate the higher-end Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra from the Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27+, and generate consumer demand.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra with Privacy Display
In addition to Privacy Display, the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra’s screens will also be equipped with Color Filter-on-Encapsulation (COE) technology.
The report also says future Samsung laptops may feature Privacy Display, as the Korean company is discussing plans to bring this tech to more products.
