Upcoming SUV Launches – 5 New Models Arriving by March 2026


It has been nearly one a half month into 2026, and the Indian automobile industry has witnessed multiple product launches across segment. There is no stopping, as several new cars and SUVs are in the pipeline including five new models slated to arrive by the end of March 2026. Let’s take a look at the key details of these upcoming SUVs.

Tata Punch EV Facelift

2026 Tata Punch EV Facelift

The updated Tata Punch EV will go on sale with the official price announcement on 20th February, 2026. The EV is likely to receive subtle styling updates and feature enhancements, while retaining the existing powertrain options. Spy images reveal that the 2026 Tata Punch EV facelift will feature revised bumpers and new alloy wheels along with new Brown and Yellow colour options.

Maruti e Vitara

After a long delay, the Maruti e Vitara is finally ready to hit showrooms in the coming weeks. However, its official launch date is yet to be announced. The EV lineup will be offered in three trims – Delta, Zeta and Alpha, and with two battery pack options – 49kWh and 61kWh. In its higher-spec version, the e Vitara will deliver a claimed ARAI range of 523km per charge.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella EV

The Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella, which is essentially a rebadged Maruti e Vitara, will arrive shortly after its donor model. Similar to the e Vitara, it will come with two battery pack options, offering a claimed driving range of up to 543km on a single charge. Toyota has confirmed that the Urban Cruiser Ebella be available with a BaaS (Battery-as-a-Service) scheme, reducing the initial purchasing cost.

Volkswagen Tayron R-Line

The Volkswagen Tayron R-Line is slated to launch in March, 2026. This premium three-row SUV derives power from a 2.0L turbo petrol engine, paired with a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox. The setup produces a maximum power of 204PS and 320Nm of torque. An AWD (all-wheel drive) system is standard across the range. The Tayron R-Line will be Volkswagen’s flagship SUV in the Indian market.

Skoda Kushaq Facelift  

The new Skoda Kushaq facelift comes with significantly improved styling and feature upgrades along with a new 8-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox. The new transmission will be available with 1.5L TSI petrol engine-powered variants, which also receives rear disc brakes. Inside, the SUV gets a larger digital driver’s display, rear seat massage function, new steering wheel, a 6-speaker sound system and more.
