Toyota Kirloskar Motor, the Indian subsidiary of the Japanese automaker, is gearing up to launch three major products this year. While the Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella electric SUV is slated to go on sale in the coming weeks, the 7-seater Toyota Hyryder and next-generation Toyota Fortuner are also expected to debut in late 2026. The latter two will cater to the premium SUV segment, targeting family car buyers. Here’s a brief of these upcoming Toyota 7-Seater SUVs.
Upcoming Toyota 7-Seater SUVs
Toyota Hyryder 7-Seater

Spy images suggest that the 7-seater Hyryder will share a strong resemblance with its 5-seater sibling. However, it will be longer and have more cabin space to accommodate the third row of seats. Since the test mule was equipped with rear axle shafts, it’s expected to get AllGrip (AWD) system as an option. Considering its positioning, the upcoming Toyota Hyryder 7-seater is expected to be packed with additional features.
The engine setup, however, will remain unchanged. Similar to its 5-seater counterpart, the three-row Hyryder will feature the 1.5L mild hybrid and strong hybrid powertrain. Both manual and automatic gearboxes will be on offer.
New-Gen Toyota Fortuner
The next-generation Toyota Fortuner has entered the testing phase and expected to make global debut in late 2026. The SUV is likely to receive comprehensive changes inside and out, while retaining the existing 2.7L petrol and 2.8L diesel engine options. The transmissions options will also be carried over from the current generation.
Reports suggest that the 2026 Toyota Fortuner will come with ADAS (autonomous driver assistance system) suite along with several new features including a new touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, wireless smartphone charging and connectivity, height adjustable headrest and more. The SUV will drive its design inspiration from the new-generation Toyota Hilux, and features the brand’s latest design language.
