After confirming that the vivo X500 series will launch next month, the company has been gradually revealing details about the upcoming phones, particularly the X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max. Now, vivo has detailed the telephoto cameras on both models.
vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao revealed the new details in separate Weibo posts.
The vivo X500 Pro is confirmed to feature a 64MP APO telephoto camera with a custom Sony LYT-610 sensor. It will use a GG 1×1 and RB 2×2 pixel structure, which is claimed to improve focusing performance.
According to the vivo executive, the telephoto system builds on the APO technology used in the vivo X100 Pro. The camera will offer an 85mm focal length and support full-resolution 64MP photos. It will also feature CIPA 7.0 stabilization, 4K 120fps slow-motion video recording, and 4K 60fps HDR video output.
Meanwhile, the vivo X500 Pro Max will feature the same 1/1.4-inch 200MP Samsung HP0 sensor used in the vivo X300 Ultra.
It will also support CIPA 7.0 stabilization and an improved capture pipeline for up to 30x zoom. The phone will additionally support the 400mm teleconverter introduced with the X300 Ultra.
vivo recently confirmed that the X500 Pro Max will offer a new custom Phantom 900 sensor developed by Sony and vivo’s Blueprint imaging team, that is said to offer 17EV of dynamic range.
