After launching the Y6t a few days ago, now vivo has also made the Y6 5G official. It is powered by the same Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC as the Y6t. The Y6 5G comes in silver, gold, and black. It measures 166.64 x 78.43 x 8.39 mm and weighs 219g.
It boasts a 6.75-inch 720×1570 LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,200-nit peak brightness, a 50MP rear camera, an 8MP front camera, and a 7,200 mAh battery with support for 44W wired charging.
The phone has 5G support, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded into the power button, an IR blaster, and it runs Android 16 with OriginOS 6 on top. It’s IP68 and IP69 certified for dust and water resistance and has been drop tested from up to 1.7m.
It’s priced at CNY 1,799 ($263) with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, CNY 1,999 ($292) with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and CNY 2,199 ($322) with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It’s unclear if it will ever be launched outside of China.
