We finally know how expensive GTA VI will be

Rockstar Games is taking pre-orders for GTA VI starting on June 25. Ahead of that, the main mystery has been the pricing. The publisher promised it wouldn’t be insane, but what does that mean?

$80. That’s what it means. It’s official now. $80 will get you the Standard Edition, and $100 is how much the Ultimate Edition will cost. That’s more or less in line with what you’d expect from a AAA game these days.

If you pre-order the digital version, you can begin pre-loading on November 12, to ensure you can start playing right on the launch day, which is November 19. The physical version just contains a download code inside a box, and that will also start working on November 12. So the difference between the two is just the box.

The Ultimate Edition has extra weapons, cars, clothing, and tattoos, which appear in different parts of the story. If you pre-order or buy before November 20, you’ll get the Vintage Vice City Pack too, which includes a ’55 Vapid Stanier sedan and garage, along with ’80s outfits and hairstyles. There’s also a weapon skin with pastel colors.
