A few days ago, Xiaomi announced that it would be launching the Pad 8 in India alongside the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra smartphones on March 11.
Today, however, the company changed its mind. The phones are still on for March 11, but the tablet will be launching a day early, on March 10, instead.
According to Xiaomi officials, this is due to “overwhelmingly positive response and high demand”, though it is just one day we’re talking about, so we’re not sure what real impact that will have.
The Pad 8 launched in China in September with an 11.2-inch IPS LCD screen with 2136×3200 resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and 800-nit peak brightness, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC at the helm, a 13MP rear camera, an 8MP front camera, and a 9,200 mAh battery with support for 45W wired and 22.5W reverse wired charging.
