Successor to the Xiaomi Pad 7, the device packs a powerful chipset and the addition of AI-powered features further enhance the user experience. The stylish looking Xiaomi tablet also comes with Focus Touch Pen Pro, Floating Keyboard which are design to offer a complete experience. We used this upcoming Android tablet from Xiaomi and here’s our complete review of the same.
Design
Xiaomi Pad 8 offers a premium metal unibody design and weighs 485 grams. The sleek and stylish Android tablet comes in two colour options — Graphite Grey and Titanium Blue. Xiaomi Pad will definitely impress you with its trendy and elegant design. The rear of the tablet offers a smooth finish and houses a single lens 13MP camera. The front is dominated by a large display surrounded by uniform bezels on all sides. The power button is placed on the top and the USB Type C case is at the bottom. The device comes with four speakers and looks quite trendy and well built.
Display
Xiaomi Pad 8 features an 11.2-inch LCD display which comes with 3200×2136 pixel resolution. The screen offers 144Hz refresh rate and up to 800 nits peak brightness levels. The display on the Xiaomi Pad 8 also comes with HDR10 and Dolby Vision support for better user experience. During our short time with the device the display performed well. It delivered smooth visuals with vibrant colour reproduction. The screen on the Xiaomi tablet also comes with features like Sunlight mode, Adaptive colours, and Wet touch technology add versatility, making it suitable for both entertainment and productivity.
Hardware and software
On the hardware front, the Xiaomi Pad 8 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset paired with up to 12GB of RAM. The octa-core CPU clocks up to 3.21GHz, paired with the Adreno GPU and Qualcomm’s AI Engine. During the initial testing the tablet ensured fast multitasking and smooth app performance. We also did not face any lag. Along with this, the Android tablet is backed by a 9,200 mAh battery which comes with 45W fast charging and 22.5W wired reverse charging support. Xiaomi Pad 8 runs Android 16 operating system topped with company’s own layer of HyperOS 3. the Pad 8 integrates Xiaomi’s AI-powered features like AI Calculator, AI Writing, AI Live Subtitles, and AI Voice Enhancement. These additions make the tablet more than just a productivity tool — it’s also an intelligent assistant for creative and everyday tasks.
Camera
Coming to the camera, the Xiaomi Pad 8 features a 13MP rear camera and 8MP front camera for video calls and selfies. The camera on the Xiaomi Pad 8 performs well and you can easily capture vibrant and crisp images during daytime. On the other hand the 8MP front shooter also works well during video calls.
