Introduction
The Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro has finally launched globally, almost six months after its premiere in China. It is one of the most powerful tablets on the market, with an incredibly strong lineup of original accessories, and a super competitive price tag.
The Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro is not the first tablet to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, but it’s an intriguing tablet for several other reasons.
The Pad 8 Pro packs an 11.2-inch IPS LCD screen with 3200 x 2136 pixels or above average 344ppi density. The panel has 12-bit color depth, 144Hz refresh rate, and supports all popular HDR standards such as HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.
The flagship hardware is coupled with UFS 4.1 storage. There are high-res cameras on both ends. Another interesting bit is the large 9,200mAh battery with 67W fast charging.
The tablet boots the latest HyperOS 3 with plenty of multi-tasking options and AI features.

The Pad 8 Pro is not a massive update over the Pad 7 Pro, on the contrary. It brings a new and more powerful chipset and a minor increase in the battery capacity. That’s about it.
There is still no cellular-enabled version, which is a potential deal-breaker for some power users.
Unboxing the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro
The Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro ships inside a rather thin paper box that contains the tablet and a 6A-rated USB-A-to-C cable.
The EU box contains no charger, but elsewhere you should find a 67W power adapter as part of the retail bundle.
