The budget Redmi 17 4G is yet to be officially announced, and we haven’t even seen it in China. Well, it seems we are not far from the said release, judging by the Redmi 17 store listing that just popped up in Poland.
Seemingly, all the rumored specs were true, but more importantly, the European version arrives with a 7,500 mAh battery. We weren’t sure until now because European versions often arrive with smaller batteries.
The rumors weren’t right about the price, though. The handset is actually cheaper than anticipated. The two listings at the Polish retailer are in Green and Blue, with either 4GB/128GB or 4GB/256GB memory configurations. The 128GB variant goes for PLN 900 (€210), while the 256GB flavor asks PLN 1,100 (€255).
We guess analysts were right after all. With the surging RAM prices, manufacturers will start introducing 4GB memory chips on budget smartphones once more.
We’ll have to wait for Xiaomi to officially fill us in on the rest of the details (and the other members of the lineup, of course).
